Registration
fees cover less than 60% of the actual cost to run a full season of
Little League baseball. As a non-profit organization, we rely on
parent participation as volunteers in a variety of ways.
Volunteer
Hours
We need
each family to volunteer 10 hours to the league for each child
registered. We will ask each family for one $100 check (per
child) to hold as incentive to fulfill your 10 hours. If you
fulfill your hours by the end of the season, we will return your checks
or shred them. We don't want your money, we want your time
and energy. Please help us make this league as successful as
possible. We cannot do it without you!

Field
Maintenance
Volunteer hours
will be given to parents who work on the fields by mowing lawns,
fillling holes, repairing fences, and more. Our fields need
constant maintenance and would love the extra attention! If you are
willing to regularly maintain
a
field throughout the season, please email antelopelittleleague@yahoo.com
and let us know you wished to be placed on the maintenance
committee. *Please note: volunteer hours will not
be counted towards game day tasks such as dragging the fields or
chalking lines.
Snack
bar / BBQ
Each
team
will
be required to work the Snack Bar on three separate dates
throughout the season. The Snack Bar days will not conflict with
your team's game days. Team Moms will assign each family with a
particular date.
The
snack bar is open whenever there are games scheduled and help is always
needed. We also would love to BBQ on Saturday. Have some fun with
other team parents and serve our
players,
parents & coaches. If you need to fulfill hours, it is not
necessary
to wait until your team's scheduled Snack Bar night. Show up at
the beginning of the shift and give us a hand! Or email antelopelittleleague@yahoo.com
and let us know when you'd like to come and help out!
In
the Snack Bar is a binder for each division. Each
binder
has
every player for every
team. At the end of
your shift, have the Board Member on Duty enter your hours onto your
players' sheet in the
binder. The Head Team Mom will tally up the hours weekly.
*Please note: Managers, Coaches, Team Parents, and Scorekeepers are
unable to transfer their additional volunteer hours (i.e. snack bar
duty) to other players.
